Facilitated Journeys to Northern Kenya and Beyond
End-to-end planning and guiding across Kenya's wildest terrain. The main difference between this option, and curated journeys, is that we will facilitate your journey ourselves to ensure a world-class experience, and to take you to those places that are very difficult to reach without a trusted guide who knows the way around, understands the history of the place, and can tell you stories about the land, its people and the wildlife. While we will tailor this experience to your exact budget, wishes and desired comfort level, we encourage clients to include wild camping elements into your trip, or we can even build your experience exclusively around wild camping, alongside multiple-day hiking expeditions, game drives, boat safaris on the stunning lakes of northern Kenya, and much more. Our aim here is to put together and execute a once-in-a-lifetime experience centred around adventure, oneness with nature, deep cultural immersion, and lots of variation.
Destinations include the many conservancies and parks of northern Kenya (e.g., Lewa, Borana, Il Ngwesi, Shaba, Samburu, Namunyak, Sera), various escarpments, mountains and mountain ranges, including the Matthews Range, Ndoto Mountains, Nyiro Mountains, Mount Olelokwe, Mount Tiaty, Malaso Escarpment, Mount Mtelo and the Sekerr Mountain Range, deep craters such as the Silale and Magado craters, deserts such as the Chalbi and Suguta Valley, Lake Turkana, Baringo, Turkwel and much much more.
Are you interested in the north, but not at the expense of missing out on the Masai Mara? No problem: we can cover the whole of Kenya in our facilitated journeys and are happy to combine northern Kenya with any other destination in the country, or even the entire East African region, in partnership with others.

A facilitated journey with Ajabu Wild is different: end-to-end planning and guiding, built around hiking safaris, nature walks and immersive camping, so you slow down and engage with the land on foot rather than through a window.

Twelve Days Across Northern Kenya
